Rose Tyler is a companion of the Ninth and Tenth Doctors. She first meets the Doctor in 2005, when she helps him defeat the Nestene Consciousness, after which the Doctor invites her to travel with him. When the Doctor and Rose are faced with a fleet of Daleks in the year 200,100, the Doctor sends Rose back to her time to protect her. Rose, desperate to go back and help the Doctor but unable to pilot the TARDIS, looks into the TARDIS’s heart, transcending into the Bad Wolf, a goddess-like figure who paradoxically spreads the words ‘Bad Wolf’ through time and space as a message to remind herself to help the Doctor. In her Bad Wolf state, Rose destroys the entire Dalek fleet and brings Jack Harkness back to life, unknowingly rendering him immortal. The Time Vortex Rose absorbs is too much for her, so the Ninth Doctor absorbs it himself to save her life, triggering his regeneration. Rose continues travelling with the Tenth Doctor until she is pulled into a parallel universe, getting stuck there with her Mum and ex-boyfriend Mickey Smith. She spends years trying to get back to the Doctor, and eventually manages to travel back to her universe, finding it the midst of a Dalek invasion. When the Daleks are defeated by Donna Noble and the Meta-Crisis Tenth Doctor, the Doctor returns Rose and her family back to the parallel universe, leaving the Meta-Crisis Doctor with Rose, so they can live together happily ever after.
