Clove
Spice (whole or ground) Description: Reddish-brown, nail-shaped buds from the tropical evergreen clove tree. Aromatic, pungent, sweet. Cloves should be used with care as the flavour can become overpowering. Uses: Baked beans, fruit pies, ham, pickling, sauces, spice cakes and cookies
