Nagging pain is a persistent pain. A reoccurring pain that does not heal easily. To have a nagging pain is to have pain in that area consistently.
A pain described as 'vice-like' refers to the pain holding or squeezing you very tightly in a painful way.
Being inflamed refers to a part of the body that is swollen, red, and painful because of an infection or injury.
Used to describe a persistent recurring pain that is serious, and has lasted a long time.
The term for pain 'acute' is used when the pain is very strong and sharp, usually used to describe a specific location of pain.
An ache, or being achy, describes a continuous but not severe pain. You can be achy after a workout, or strenuous activity.
